“Every Child Deserves to Start School with Confidence”

In Grays Harbor County, hundreds of kids show up without the basics. Together, we change that.

In 2016, we served over 400 students.

In 2017, we served over 850 students

In 2023, we served over 1200 students.

In 2024, we served over 1300 students.

"Because confidence starts before the first bell."

Why This Matters

Children experiencing poverty are more likely to:

  • Experience bullying related to clothing

  • Miss school activities

  • Have reduced classroom confidence

  • Struggle academically

Back to School Marketplace addresses a basic but powerful need:

Confidence.

When a child walks into school feeling confident, it changes:

  • Participation

  • Social belonging

  • Academic engagement
